How you pronounce this name seems to vary as many times as the people you ask!!
To the south of Freiburg the town is on the edge of the German border in Switzerland. (Yes we did forget the passports). No worry we were waved through and spent a lovely day walking the town from the Minster church in the marketplace to a wonderful man made pond with working machines in it and the town hall, the Rhine , a toy and a printing museum.
A stylish town with lovely buildings and the historic centre of paper making (as we know it today) from the 1550s and an important printing industry starting with bank notes.
