A wonderful day walking around Nice as it was in its heyday.
We did try to stay at this hotel
The Negresco but they told us there was no electricity for the RV in the car park !!!!
The Square of Massena was wide open and just off the Promenade des Anglais
In the centre of Garibaldi Square is a statue to a Frenchman who had a strong relationship with Nice as he was borne there but was a general in the Italian army – yes that’s Garibaldi who was seen as one of the best Italian Generals in modern times.
Besides a lovely walk down the Promenade des Anglais one has to see how the other half lives in the Port de Nice
And just nearby was the very touristy sign
A lovely day with trips on busses, trams and guess what Lesley’s favourite hire car – a Fiat 500.
More adventures in the Fiat tomorrow to Cannes, Antibes and Juan Les Pins
