Day 10 Valle Sagrado (1 hour north of Cusco)

We flew from Lima to Cusco and were met by our Explora colleagues who have a beautiful eco hotel in the valley and arrange guided tours across the 82km valley which includes Machu Picchu. The view from the hotel is spectacular

We also saw traditional farming on the hotel land where they have their own crops

As we didn’t arrive until lunchtime we had a lovely walk near Moray where there are Inca sites know for there round terraces. The views from above the sites were amazing but apologies for the two photo bombers

On the way home we saw a statue of a man, woman and donkey carrying salt from the mines of Maras in the valley

Tomorrow we are on a days hike to see Inca temples and ruins.
