We arrived in our motorhome site to find that its view over Bilbao was amazing.
One can see the football stadium and behind it the very tall Iberdrola building and a glimpse of the Guggenheim museum. To the right of the picture in the distance is the old town.
We ventured into town to specifically see the Guggenheim and the parks around it. Our first view looking towards the river was
And the river side facade was fascinating not only for its architectural design but also its large sculptures of stainless balls and a spider.
On the balcony outside were also a bouquet of tulips over 2 metres tall and 5 metres across with these and the puppy at the front of the museum designed by the same American artist Jeff Koons.
On our walk back across the park we came across these two interesting buildings
Back tomorrow to see round the old town and try some pinchados or tapas as we know it.
