A very windy evening and night with winds up to 40mph finally quietened down as we set off on our bikes to St Tropez.
The marina which used to be surrounded by the old town now stretches nearly a mile from there although most of the super-yachts are based in old town.
The first photo is of the bay to the East between Port Grimaud and St Tropez
The next few are of old town harbour
There was also in front of the Hermes building a sculpture by Jean Michel Falon, a Belgian artist and sculptor living in St Tropez, called La Fontaine aux Poissons. He is famous and many of his pieces are in galleries worldwide.
We then cycled on to Plage de Tahiti a famous beach of the 60’s and 70’s with many of the stars who lived near there then. It is still beautiful, quiet and up market with lovely restaurants frequented by folk coming in by helicopter!
Ps the author was 13 when he last went there ……..!!!
