A lovely trip down to Gap some 250 km North West of Nice. The last two hours spent going up and down mountains with some beautiful views.
Gap dates back to medieval times but came to prominence in the 17th and 18th centuries and is the largest town in the Hautes Alpes.
Whilst it boasts that Napoleon spent a night there in 1815 on his way back from Elba some of its buildings and narrow streets have a real charm.
Off to Nice tomorrow over the mountains – so much fun in a big wide RV !!
Hi both , love the streets with umbrellas looks great. Another place now on my list ?, at this rate I won’t have time xxx
Oooo one place we went through! Other direction though… up to sisteron.. beautiful area 🙂
